Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that the club’s recent performance and resurgence have proven that he was the right choice for the position after all. He has also urged his players to remain focused to maintain momentum in the EPL title race.

Solskjaer has been at the helm at Old Trafford for two years, and his tenure has been hit by heavy criticism. In days when the club has recorded dismal performance, there have been calls to get Solskjaer sacked. However, Manchester United’s recent performance has turned around. The club has registered a 13-game unbeaten trend which has seen them rise to the top of the EPL table.

Before Manchester United’s game against Fulham, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told reporters, “hopefully I have proved I can help the club going forwards.”

“Personally I have felt very strong backing and leadership from the club, which has made the journey that we’ve been on — ups and downs — clear.”

He has also warned his players against taking the foot off the pedal with the campaign being at the halfway stage.

“It is not about getting there once — that is the easy bit to go up the league,” he added.

“Staying there is the challenge and that is the challenge we are looking forward to — focusing on every game and building this squad and hope that in the end we can lift the trophy.”

Manchester United has become title contenders, and their winning trend away from home has been nothing short of impressive.
